MOBILE APP
Get the Free Smart FTA App
With Smart FTA, you can easily request, track, and manage your FTA cards for Late Blight sampling. Use the mobile-based app to stay in control of every step—from dispatch to return
This app streamlines the full logistics of sample tracking and diagnostics for Phytopthora infestans (late blight) disease surveillance, starting with the dispatch and return of FTA cards to field researchers. Each sample is tagged with a unique QR code that enables seamless tracking across the entire pipeline—from request to field collection to return.
Field researchers can capture and upload images of infected samples, automatically geotagging them with GPS coordinates and triggering an integrated AI check to verify if the sample likely represents true late blight. This ensures high-quality, traceable data from the moment of collection.
All sample data is linked to a centralized system, enabling rapid diagnostics for genotyping, monitoring, and potential integration with a Decision Support System (DSS). The result is faster, more accurate fieldwork and better data for controlling late blight outbreaks.
