The first objective when AsiaBlight was created in 2015 was to establish a coarse scale map of Phytophthora infestans in the region.
We gratefully acknowledged the work of David Cooke and his laboratory at the James Hutton Institute for genotyping and adding AsiaBlight coarse-scale mapping data to the EuroBlight map.
Samples have been collected in the following locations for SSR analysis. The map will be updated whenever new survey data are received at Aarhus Universiy, which hosts the EuroBlight databases. The data will be genotyped using SSR microsatellites at Wageningen University & Research and at the James Hutton Institute. When results are available from these analysis, they will be presented on the EuroBlight web site.
