In early 2019, CIP-CCCAP organized a contest for the design of a logo for AsiaBlight, with a prize of $800 for the winning logo. Entries from across China and Asia were received, and after a rigorous selection process, the committee chose the logo designed by Dr Buddhi Prakash, a scientist with the Nepal Agricultural Research Council’s National Potato Research Program. The new logo depicts potatoes, LB damage and the geographical diversity of the Asian continent. Its designer received both the prize and an invitation to the AsiaBlight International Conference in Beijing in October.
