AsiaBlight Online Quarterly Meeting (Sept 2025)

The AsiaBlight Quarterly Meeting brought together regional representatives and experts to share updates on late blight research, training, and collaboration. Key topics included progress and challenges in genotyping and phenotyping, preparation for the October 31–November 4 fungicide sensitivity training in Beijing, and the importance of standardized protocols and sustainable funding. Regional spotlights featured Dr. Laith Khalil (Iraq) on potato production and late blight management, and Dr. Negar Bagheri (Iran) on disease prevalence and biological control research. François Serneels highlighted Europe Blight collaborations, while discussions emphasized surveillance, forecasting, and strengthening AsiaBlight’s role in integrated management.
